Jane Douglas
"What one loves in childhood stays in the heart forever." This quote by Mary Jo Putney encapsulates Jane's story. As a young girl she loved decorating and rearranging furniture. Her intense fervor led her to constantly redesign the homes of her family and friends.

A teaching career before marriage and a career in volunteering during the school years of her two children, gave her the opportunity to lead many projects, committees, and boards. She and her husband owned a corporation that not only distributed and imported framing supplies and moulding but did fine art framing for galleries on the Gold Coast of Chicago and throughout the Midwest. With 18 years experience in those businesses, she appreciates how art and framed treasures give a home beauty and personality.

Now Jane has come full circle and is blending her childhood love of decorating, her life's experiences, and specialized training in the redesign technique into a new career. She is passionate about bringing joy and peace into homes, by creating beautiful spaces, with the proper arrangement of furniture, artwork, and accessories.

Kristine Porter
Kristine is the "space engineer" on the team. She earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering with an emphasis in Ergonomics from Purdue University. Before having children she performed industrial design for several large corporations, including Union Carbide, Frito-Lay, and Motorola. She went on to earn a M.S. in Management from Lake Forest School of Management.

While taking time out to raise her four children, she explored the creative arts. This led to a discovery of her love and talent for painting. With her youngest child entering school, she merged her artistic and analytical abilities through training in the redesign technique.

Kristine's gifted ability to both read the architecture of the room and listen to the people who live there allows her to change the way the room "feels." She is ever cognizant of the need to tailor the room to the individual. She creates beautiful rooms that invite people to relax, converse, live and dream.

Carie Baumann
Sometimes all you need is some fresh inspiration to fall in love with your home all over again…or make others fall in love with it.” This is Carie’s philosophy when working in her client’s homes, either for redesign or resale. Formerly a Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner by training, Carie’s lifelong passion for decorating and design prompted a career change in 2004. This passion, along with her personal experiences in building and remodeling her own homes inspired her to start her own interior redesign and home staging business, Fresh Redesign. Carie believes everyone deserves to have a beautiful and functional living space, no matter what their style or budget. Most recently, her passion for redesign and staging has led to the addition of Certified Trainer to her list of services. Her redesign, staging, and training services are offered throughout the greater Tucson and Phoenix areas.

Carie is a Charter Member of the Society of Decorating Professionals (The SDP), nationally certified in Interior Redesign, Home Staging, and as a Redesign and Staging Trainer. Among her many speaking engagements, Carie was recently featured as a guest speaker at The SDP’s 2006 Conference in Erie, PA. Her talents and expertise have also been showcased in The Arizona Republic, The Arizona Daily Star, Sonoran Living (live television), and on Tucson radio.

A native of Minnesota, Carie has enjoyed the Arizona lifestyle since relocating in 1995. After many years in Phoenix, she now resides in Tucson, AZ with her husband and four children. She credits her love for redesign and her business success to both her supportive husband and family, and to Kristine Porter and Jane Douglas, her mentors and trainers.
